Cheeky Elf - Holly

I’ve always loved Christmas and to me, part of the magic was thinking about Santa’s workshop and the cheeky little elves that worked there.

‘Cheeky Elf Holly’ is just how I imagined them to be when I was a little girl. She is 20’’( 50/51cm) tall from the bottom of her feet to the top of her head (not including her hat). Sitting she is 10.5’’( 27cm) tall and with her weighted bottom sits perfectly on the shelf. I’ve added a couple of spots of acrylic paint to her eyes for an added twinkle but that part is optional. I’ve used 4mm needles, but if you would prefer a tighter weave try a smaller needle. The only difference it would make is Holly would be a little smaller.

She's knitted flat on straight needles.

She’ll make a great talking point over Christmas and I’m almost certain she’ll entertain the children with her antics for years to come.
